Knowledge is not the best technically but I get by,got an issue with understanding the value of a miniture cartridge fuse fitted to a transport system the info on the cap of the fuses is 5 amps 240 volt type L,it's the type L that I am struggling to understand guess it's something to do with the surge value any help greatly appreciated.

Type L is fast acting. Use for control circuits.

OK so it's not a surge fuse, what does the T prefix mean guess that's a surge type.

Hi Cadwalader.
My Interpretation is the T means time lag, so yeah you could call it a type of Surge fuse.

I have somewhere a brilliant little booklet explaining all sorts of specialist fuses.
If I manage to find it?
I will try and sort you out a copy.
Cheers Grizzly
