I for the life of me can't see how this comes apart filter cover off and filters out there's 2 screws and that's it and it don't come off as the whole cover is solid plastic. I've seen some ****e designs in my time like the old mitsi 407c wall mount but not this bad. Anyone got any experience with these

Can't find that exact model size but looking at a 12 there seems to be a plastic coil support and a separate motor support.

I'm assuming that the electrics have to be removed?¿

Motor shaft possibly locked onto fan rotor shaft.

Good luck.

Right. Will have a look when I'm back ordered the stuff but it just doesn't have any screws I can see. Why are things made so stupidly

I've found taking them off the wall is the only way, if i remember there are some screws at the rear that release the coil and then fan blade can be removed, same as some Daikin models as well.

Hi Ben,

Have emailed you the service manual which has a parts layout, might help a bit but might end up in your spam folder first off.
I haven't done one myself so not sure but on some of the older ones I've taken apart to clean out the drip trays the complete bottom part (number 22 on page 13) came out, easy(ish) when you've cracked the first one out. You might find the coil lifts up a bit and a some bits of plastic unscrew opposite the motor end to get the fan blade out, electrics and trim off to get to the motor and grub screw.

Cheers,
Andy.
