Alternate for Carrier 19XR Oil

Hi,

Currently we need to replace synthetic oil for Carrier Chiller 19XR. Refrigerant is R134a.
Oil viscosity grade is ISO 68. Can I use Castrol SW68 as an alternate? or is there any suitable alternate available?

Castrol SW68 is a slideway oil not rated for refrigeration use.

19xr is a big and expensive machine, replace only recommended oil from Carrier. It needs to replace once in a year after installation and then after 3/5 years. Frequent oil replacing only required if oil test is negative. This test you have to carry out on yearly bases. With non recommended oil you will face warranty issues.
Please remember a Rolls Roice must be maintained as a RR and not as a Suzuki.
