Lots of gear available from China, I source much of my test equipment from there,as for service parts not sure had too many scare stories recovery machines etc work very well most big brand names outsource to China nowadays never had an issue with warranty on test equipment in fact China sourced test equipment has longer warranty maybe it's the future?

The fact that it was $25 might be an issue but you
never know until you try.
