Hello,

As you can see in my other ad Im doing a heating scrap out on a commercial building. There is huge valves for maybe 4-5 inch pipe. Maybe bigger. They are like 50 lbs each if not better.,
Now I noticed they are are all steel except the center screw and nut holding the handle on. Are these worth to strip down for the brass or right into the prepared pile?I went through many resources and even checked Industrial Valve Video (http://blog.advids.co/20-excellent-industrial-valve-video-examples/) to know more but,did not find much. Please help me out.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Sorry Joe.
We on here are Engineers and not scrap men.
Try posting on the American site you may get some advise?
Given we help each other on work related issues.
What on earth made you think you would get advise from this site?
Mine is a polite reply, Others may not feel so benevolent!

Try to search on the net with the valve Brand name, Or its manufacture may contact to get information about the valve material.
Open one of it and check visually the material other then iron.
