Sarco TDC condensate drainer

Curious if anyone has experience using these for condensate on a hot gas line. I'm familiar with Sarco float drainers, but not these. I was considering using these on an industrial ammonia refrigeration system.

Not sure, will it work with other liquids & gases at cooler temperatures reliably..
Are they big enough for large evaporators?
Have seen something similar years ago, Sabroe tried to use them on oil separator oil return to crankcase, they were always playing up.
Minimum temperature has to be also checked, I see some go to below -40F/C.

Hanson have a float drainer with a bypass valve for fine tuning & flow, maybe a bypass valve should also be installed to avoid issues like gas lock & fine tuning.
A check valve may also be needed depending on what part of system you are returning condensate to.

A ball float would be "safer".
