If you have an old ISA Samoa Gelato case that started melting gelato, what is the best first step?

Just throw a new controller at it?

What's the best choice: find a new Eliwell IDPlus974, or go with a Dixell XR60CX-AN1F1-UR KIT and swap out the probes?

They are almost identical, take the cheapest and most available. You do not need to change the probes if they are ok, they both wort with PTC or NTC, just choose the right parameter.

Personally i like the dixell better.
