Hi,
I have been given the above unit as my Sons room gets very hot this time of year.
It does work but for about 20 mins then the compressor shuts off. If I then turn it off and on the compressor comes on but doesn't cool.
There was an old thread on here explains this exact issue. So I took all the back off but none of my pipes were dirty like explained in the thread. So I did the cleaning with the hoses anyway and it's deffo barley better but it still shuts off.
I did notice that only half the pipes on the cooling rad frost up.
The only thing I can think of is the ducting I'm using (as it wasn't supplied with any) is not a big enough diameter (100mm) and maybe it's preventing the heat escaping and then overloading it?
