Jean, It depends wether you are talking new equipment or retrofitting old equipment. Some large supermarkets and department stores are trending towards R134A and screw compressors in air conditioning and R404a in refrigeration. There are coldstores and supermarkets starting to use CO2. R407C works best in heat exchangers designed to take advantage of its temperature glide. But at the moment R404a is most popular in supermarkets.R507 is not as popular although it is in some ways superior to R404a. This may only be due to the higher availability of R404a and earlier work using R404a by some compressor manufacturers.

HI ,
R404A is adequate from availabilty point of view and engineers are getting used to the refrg in India. Consider local expertise to handle it.

HI,
R-404a appears to be the choice except for the handling knowhow and equipments at site inadequancies in India. You need a team of people who really understand intricacies very well ; oil, moisture level, use of right liquid line dryers, deep vacum of system etc.

The refrigerant has moderat discharge end tempeatures and can be used on systems with lower evap temp without dditional; accessories on compressors.

I can help u in selections on my ID ddkoranne@yaho.co.in
