How do I go about canceliing my membership from this forum please?
Phil:)
please wait until Dez comes back:)
I don't know what you posted, but your input on other posts is welcomed by me:)
Humour is quite a regional thing and quite a personal thing, what you might enjoy is different from others:)
I suppose what I am saying to all in RE is live and let live. We in the North of Ireland know more than others what little it takes to offend.
I look forward to hearing from you in the future:)
Kind Regards. Andy:)

Hi Phil
I'm sorry that you feel this way. We are all different and some members are offended by some posts where others may not feel this way.
As a Moderator, I was asked to contact you to point out that your post had caused offence to some members. I'm sure that you will agree that what some find amusing others do not.
I feel that your response to delete the thread was very adult and appreciated, although your comments were inflammatory so I took the decision to amend them so as not to cause further upset.
Maybe you should re-consider your decision to leave the forum after a good nights sleep. With over 150 posts you are obviously an active member and it would be a shame if you were to stop having a valued input.
Should you still wish to depart from the forum I will ask Webram to cancel your membership, or alternatively, you could send a Private Message to Webram yourself detailing your request.

Difference in culture, language, and the use of an impersonal way of communication are very common source of misunderstanding.

i have no idea if anyone will view this as it may be a discontinued thread but i wish to state again, a joke is a joke nothing more nothing less. if you take offence then tough. i took offence at the rantings of the o'brien oracle but my words fell on deaf ears as he seemed to own this site by devine providence and cared not for the views of others- WELCOME TO MY WORLD, GET OVER IT.

Hi To All I find it very frustrating to see people treated this way over a joke I have been on this site for a short time and one thing got up my nose was the rantings of Mr Obrien who thinks his **** dont stink and it was ignored by the people who run this site for a long time if you want to kick me off for saying my piece then be it

As you have noticed Slingblade , they didn't feel in deaf mans ears and we all learned a lesson from this.
Your posts were seen and this started a discussion behind the scene.
We hope that the decissions we took were good decissiond for this forum.
Phil68 and Toosh, me too appreciated your input, even if it was a joke.
I wasn't offended by your post and it's good that these things happen. We learn each time by such an events and the eventual wrong decissions that have been made.
Phil, Sling, Toosh............Your contributions are worthwhile, lively and this forum would be poorer without your input.
Yes, we are human......and Mods are not Gods.
As Peter has said, we have all learnt, are learning.......
So, say your peace when need be, believe me, it will not fall on deaf ears any longer.

Hi sir
It's not easy to meet in this forum in a so large world, all this should owe to internet development. It's a sad thing when anybody leave here:(
I believe nobody here intend to hurt anybody.Engineer's argument is vey normal thing. Cultural difference can lead some misunderstanding, but time reveals all things:).
Forum is prospering with all the member's contribution. Hope its future is brighter.
For the forum developement, I think we can set a basic rule: Allow to ask the simplest questions; dare to probe into the most difficult frontier tech issue...
regards

Hi, Phil. I guess I missed the fracas, and you cop'ed a few bruises.
Well, you have to decide whether to go or stay – that’s up to you. If it’s bye-bye, just stop surfing over to this website to solve all that - easy.
All I would say is that if some monkey tried to make nothing of you and, as a result, you are now going to shut yourself off from a lot of other ok-ish and helpful people on this site, well, you are just helping that badcat do the deadly deed, yourself. I just wouldn’t help anyone to do me in. No way!
If it were me (it isn’t) I would just blip the guy with the “ignore button” and get on with your life. He will soon be talking to himself which will suit the rest of us, no doubt.
Imagine if David Beckem had just laid down, while all the whole media kicked him into a grave, a few years ago. No way. Never lend a hand to someone trying to do you in.
So, like in that old musical, “Pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and start all over again!” (to which you could add, “and stick a bunch of fives into his face.”)
Maybe we'll be seeing you - You decide.

Hi Phil
Take it easy man ;) . Don't take drastic action :o , we may breathe the same air but each human being and soul has their own opinion and judgement of things. Lets be realistic. In this forum you only have to look, read, learn and understand what was being written. There's no reason to get upset :) . Everyday every one is learning, we only stop learning when we are R.I.P. Humour are always healthy and educational
Common mate, cheer up.:) :)
Don;t worry be happy :D :D
