I'm in the process of updating the refrigerant in some of our rigs.

I'll be moving all the old R404A into one rig and then changing the
others to R448A, subtle difference between the two and apart from
an issue with extra glide on the 448, hopefully it should be uneventful.

But in doing the research over the last few months and weeks
R404A has risen from about £462 for 11Kg in February and March
to £770 last week and this morning is now over £1100.

All trade prices from one major wholesaler in the UK.

Bye bye R404A

Well this is very interesting, just found out the true cost of R404A

Direct from BOC trade, so this is the price wholesalers pay

£10Kg of 404 £110..................... Ten times cheaper than the trade
price from a leading wholesaler, wow maybe the markup is not the
manufacturers maybe it is the wholesalers.

Scary
