its done this for a reason, sounds like the eprom chip on the micro. Also check the sensor grades match what is in stored in the micro
You can re enter all the values and clear the code via guarded access.
Go to DDR 45 (last screen in selection) press hold TK button, go to DDR 45 press hold TK button again.
Code 74 will be there press = to clear
