I have constructed a heat pump which uses propane which I have removed the odorant from and dried myself as best I can but still some moisture remains. The filter drier on it was a brand new 30 gram one which I installed when I built the system but I don't think it is big enough to remove all the moisture as my sight glass doesn't indicate fully dry. I was looking at this filter drier and was wondering if it would work for R290 or maybe the desiccant is different for hfc and cfc refrigerants.

Might just buy it and give it a try, it doesn't say the desiccant type on the drier.
