Howdy,
I have an Airwell GC34RCC that has given up, firstly it has been getting noisier, as in a buzzing sound when the compressor starts up.
The other night night it was switched on however no cooling so i took a look. I noticed the Motor Starter Cap was blown apart, it looked quite violent. I checked everything out and replaced the cap, upon the contractor and fan engaging the new cap blew up and was extremely hot to touch.
During my tests i found the compressor has 2ohm resistance between Run ans Start wires and no resistance between Start, Run and Active, Common, Earth.
Any help much appreciated.
