Hi

I need to purchase a new reclaim unit and vacuum pump.
I usually buy Promax units what are brilliant but I was seeing if there is anything better out there
some people have suggested Rothenberger Rovac what looks good or RDA G5 and Javac new units.
Has anyone got any suggestions and have they used any of the above ?
Have they had any problem ?
Would they use them I wll be working on split, vrf, chillers various refrigerants.

Kind Regards Ian

I've got one of the Value ones FSW sells, its the 1hp twin cylinder model, its quicker than the Ecobudy one i had previously.

If you are going to be working on the newer flammable refrigerants such as R32 etc, it would be worth checking whatever you chose to buy is rated for that class of refrigerants.

Hi Monkey Spanners, we used to sell the Promax RG5000 as well as use them ourselves, then they changed to Promax Extreme and we had several fail, consequently, (the official UK stockist said they don't have a problem btw) we stopped buying them. We now get the Yellow Jacket Recover XLT and they have been met with approval by our 18 engineers (no we don't sell them, neither are we on commission if admins are looking in!)

I have used them in the past.

I get ours from RW Refrigeration in Acton, Tom Hooker very helpful.

Also saw below re the CPS ones, also good shout but we decided on Yellow Jacket.

One word of warning, steer clear of M@sterc**l (IMPO), used to be good but we sent them all back, incredibly noisy, repeated failures...

Guys
Can we refrain with being too liberal with the criticism.
I know its difficult when being asked for an opinion.
But when criticising a particular piece of equipment.
You are knocking somebodies employer or business ect.

Credit when credit is due fair enough.
But when criticising Product its not in the interest of the forum and its members.

Its difficult for me to chastise as I know everyone has valued opinions on the kit they use.

Just try and be diplomatic so none get offended.
Personally.
'Which does anyone prefer?' is a better question 'Than which is best?'

Because it does not invite negative comments and or criticism.

I hope all understands where I am going with this.

Well you made me laugh SPM.

If you have a true gripe that's maybe a little bit too political.
Then PM the poster that you wish to impart your valuable experience's with.
No harm done and you get your message to who needs to hear it.
Otherwise just minimise what you say!
