Hi guys i was wondering if anyone has any diagrams on part wind start motors need to know more about them but dont really know where to start

See page 4 and it gives a good diagram of part wind and star-delta.

For part wind you basically have 2 winding's wound around the same
stator in the motor. Both winding's on together would = 100% so
each winding makes up part of that 100%. Normally 75% and 25%
but 60% and 40% or even 50% and 50% are used dependent on the
motor starting loads.

To start the motor the first winding contactor energises and brings in
the first part of the winding and any time between 2 and 10 seconds
later the second winding contactor energises.

It is used to assist the starting of the motor and is mostly used in conjunction
with compressor unloaders. As the compressor starts up the unloaders
unload the pressure and the comp then takes the time to achieve full
rotational speed before the compressor loads up again.
