When we use propylene as regrigerant in screw refrigeration cycle, what kind of oil should we choose_whole dissolve or part dissolve with oil?and if we need dry filter?

You need to check the dilution data for the specific oil and operating conditions (pressure & temperature).

The compressor will have certain viscosity requirements to provide lubrication to rotating parts. The amount of dilution decreases the oil viscosity, so you may have to use a more viscous oil than normally thought.

You also need to be careful with oil pour points for low temperature use.

Synthetic oils tend to work much better as they are more stable. However, they can be very expensive.
