Hi everyone,

I would like to ask you about the heating capacacity table of the Daikin Althelma HT. This kind of heat pump is cascade technology and can lift the outlet temperature up to 80 Celcius. I see in the table that the rated capacity is constant while the rated power changes according to set of conditions. Would anybody can explain the reasons for it? Also, in the table, is this the data for the whole system rather than for only outdoor unit (I misunderstanding because this kind of heat pump contains two seperate heat pump units, indoor and outdoor)?

P/S: please access to the link if you want to get the data of the heat pump

Thank you very much!

Your link is private, none accessible.

The power can change due to the varying enthalpy of the ambient conditions.

Hi Brian,

Sorry you. I just reset the public link.

Thanks.

Should have added that it is a single compressor, not a cascade system.

Not so Brian
The Daikin HT Altherma has 2 refrigeration circuits. The outdoor compressor is on r410a and the indoor compressor is on R134a.

Just a quick tip on Altherma:

Anything with HT in the model is High Temperature(uses small R134a cascade set up)
Anything with LT in the model is Low Temperature (Standard R410a 'split')
