I am not able to tell which one is the best one ...

the good one for sure is

Stoecker .... Industrial Refrigeration

then ...

John H. Lienhard (IV and V) ... A heat transfer book
A.R. Trott and T. Welch .... Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
Shan K. Wang ... Handbook of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

and many other .... I learned a little bit from each one ...
of course, also a lot from nice people here on RE forums ...

Best regards, Josip :)

Hi alroy
All refrigeration books have good information, some maybe explain things better than others. I think it depends on what information you are after.
I have the second edition of Dossat mentioned by Magoo and I found that to be very good, I still refer to it from time to time.
Regards
Paul

Stoecker .... Industrial Refrigeration. Very good book for industrial refrigeration. Not so good to repair home fridge. :)
