working on a samsung wall mount AQV09UGAN power to indoor it has 240v power up to the relay on the indoor board but the relay remains open when powered up.
The other side of the relay goes strait to the outdoor.
I have changed the indoor pcb but same fault.
no power through the relay.
you can see the relay on the photo 240v to white plug and nothing on the red.
Does anyone know if there is something else that closes the relay maybe i have been sent the wrong board or is there something else i can check because there is no samsung technical help.
thanks in advance.
matt.

Probably the relay has failed.

Hi brian thanks for your reply i think you are right but i have changed the board so i think they have sent me the wrong one.
what i am going to do is put the old one back in and bypass the relay and join the 2 lives so the outdoor gets 240.
As it also has a comms cable I dont think it will make any difference.
what do u think.

matt.

Hi Matt,

Normally you can get very good technical help from any one of Samsung's distributors.
Depending on where you are based and who you normally buy stuff from:
- Freedom A/C
- ESS
- EasyAir
- Gallant
- HRP
Any of these should be able to assist you.

Hi Matt,
I'd double check you've been sent the correct part - Samsung part n° is DB93-0838G
Do you get any flashing LEDs (indoor or outdoor) which may indicated an error?
Also did your supplier tell you that the PCB is likely to need the 'product option code' inputted via the local controller?
The code you need is 447777d20d
If you haven't put this code in then the PCB won't work.
I have the service manual if you need it pm me your email addr.

Cheers
