Although my password is simplistic and someone somehow has managed to post items not by myself I am leaving this sight I will still view but sadly never post again I will view posts but not comment until I set up again under another profile with all aspects of my id changed to a more secure prospective!

Cadwaladr, surely there is a way to change your password. Over 7 years of contribution and 21 points.
Hopefully the Boss can help you. Regards from Australia.
Mike.

Cadwaladr
Change your password make it a complicated one.
I agree with mikeref and I am pretty sure most forum members would prefer you stay.
Regards
Paul

I have decided to be economical with my participation to the site, probably it's for the best whoever hacked me gained zero,I will join up again under another name and see how it goes! the password will be so complex even Einstein would struggle to make sense of it!

Hi Cadwaladr. A good place to get a password Einstein proof would be the serial number one of your appliances in the house. Learnt this a few years ago.

One site called "Password strength checker" does a real time evaluation HOWEVER, this site might be best read first. https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjt-MmanKLOAhUHl5QKHeHaBrUQFgguMAM&url=https%3A%2F%2Fnakedsecurity.sophos.com%2F2015%2F03%2F02%2Fwhy-you-cant-trust-password-strength-meters%2F&usg=AFQjCNGVWsNSzCbAjTHNHDsT5q_48jJceA

one should always make a secure password, not just for this site but for anything on the web.

If you use something like LastPass then it can generate those massively long passwords four you and also it will autocomplete them so you don't need to remember the password yourself (just don't forget the master password for the account)

Also have a look at https://xkcd.com/936/
