I have a Mitsubishi city multi 407c system circa 2001.

One of the BC boxes (CMB P1010 VE) has a leak on the valve manifold - that my contractor says isn't repairable.

This BC box is now obsolete - Mitsubishi said that a CMB 1010V-F box would do the job, however my contractor says that this is a 410a box and is not compatble wth a 407c system I phoned mit again and they still say that it is suitable but as a new box is around £3K - I want to be 100% sure before I purchase it.

Can anyone confirm

Thanks

Have you got a photo of the leak? I an not familiar with that Exact model of BC box. Some of the Mitsubishi equipment can be used on R407C or R410A as the epuipment was manufractured when R410A was being introduced to replace R407C.

If Mitsubishi say that box is compatable I would go with what they say as they have a good technical department and I doubt very much they would sell you something which will not work.

Photo of bc box leak.

Turns out that the CMBP1010VF box is compatible - so hope to get it fitted next week. Once BC box is off - may try a repair and keep as a spare

I would definitely try the repair 1st, silver solder should do the trick.

Good luck with the repair, tried it myself and didn't have much joy, used silver solder too. scrap it
