Just looking for opinions on problems with a 2 door commercial freezer with temps in Celsius.
Temperature 0° and rising.

Suction line P/T at service port 5.7bar/3°
Suction line at evap outlet 4°
Compressor discharge pipe 2 inch from pot 126°
Liquid line at condenser outlet 33°
Condenser inlet 83°
Air on condenser 29°
Air off condenser 36°.
Compressor amperage - 7amps.

There's no service port to get high side gauge reading.

Is it 404a Paul? if so compressor is goosed,if customer will pay then reclaim gas and try a fresh charge but i reckon compressor needs to come out

Yep...it's r404a! I think I'll go with the compressor so.

Thanks!

Sometimes, R-404 is failing to perform and act just like you describe.
just to be sure, reclaim the refrigerant and recharge to be sure its the compressor.
Sound like a small unit with a small charge.

there is only 0.0'C suction super heat, suggest coil is flooding lifting SST and lack of performance. Discharge temp 126' c and condenser inlet 86' C.

Maybe there is an underlying fault should the compressor be....as AL says, Goosed.
Check the defrost heater(s) aren't active while freezer is running it's cooling cycle.

As Magoo has said you have 0K super heat. Are all the evaporator fans running? Is the evaporator coil clean? Also you say the discharge is 126 degrees but the inlet to the Condenser is 83 degrees. Does the discharge pipe go through a water collection tank? If so has it water in it as the discharge pipe is loosing a lot of heat before the condenser coil.

Air on to the Condenser is 29 degrees and air off is 36 degrees. Is the Condenser coil clean. I would expect the TD to be higher unless the compressor is not pumping correctly. But if the compressor was not pumping correctly I would expect lower running amps.
