hi all
how about r22
in jordan
replace r404 a to r22 its so fast

I have some problems with ***** R-404 A
I am doing my change-dried filter every 6 months
Clean condenser and evaporator always
Check the compressor and use the original oilsCooling is always very slow does not decline more than -5 C
Ambient temperature in the Middle East, rising to 50 degrees Celsius

original 404a systems have bigger condensers and almost always subcool liquid, r22 systems don't. also r22 systems usually have liquid injection to cool compressor, remove this if you change to 404... it will never work the same with 404....

Running R-22 without a quench valve (liquid injection) is asking for trouble.
In 30 degree ambient an R-22 system will be quenching, in 50 degree ambient without a quench valve you're going to burn the compressor down.
I would think the expansion valve would need to be changed as well.

Big mistake to change to r22,if your ambient is that high then getting your trailers in the shade then precooling is the answer ,if you do not fit liquid injection to an r22 system the compressor is going to go bang!

So how do you raise the cooling performance with R-404

In that ambient your box /trailer need to be in very good condition have you cleaned the evaporator I would look at putting liquid nitrogen blast into the box to help the cooling process

What model of unit is fitted to the trailer?

if your relying on the european range of fridges you might have problems.
You might want to look at importing second hand SB310 or SB330 thermo king units, there good in the heat, and most parts are the same as Thermo Kings available in europe.
