Am looking for an indication of cost and recommendations for installation of a single zone Mitsubishi split system in San Francisco bay area. ( Contra Costa county).

Our electrician would install required power line to the outside unit.

May end up as one quad zone system but would initially like an indication on install cost for a straight forward single zone system.

Happy to receive suggested installer name by personal message assuming forum rules do not allow advertising posts.

Thanks in advance,
Graham

I'll be happy to lash that in for you.
Should be able to do it in one day, day rate £650 +VAT +materials and travel. :)

I've read somewhere, renting a small apartment in San Francisco could cost up to 4K USD/ Month.
( 90.3 Pounds UK per day.) Viking might want to add that into his Quote :D

OK, my reply was a little bit "tongue in cheek" and the rate is my charge rate, it is a long time since I did installations. (Nowadays I would probably offer to do an installation for free just to get my hands dirty again, I do miss that feeling)
But I don't think the day rate is too far of the mark for an installation engineer and a mate/apprentice to do a proper installation in accordance with current legislation and best practices.

Accommodation falls under "travel"

But then on the other hand, looking at the weather outside my window at the moment, local flooding and all, I can waive my day rate for a ticket on a plane out of here and 2 weeks accommodation in a shed somewhere nice and sunny...
