Hello - maybe someone can help me...
I'm having trouble getting the standby on my Carrier 30s to cool properly.
Compressor seems to be working, but it sounds a bit slower than usual. When I plug in the standby, the compressor kicks in but doesnt cool enough and after 20 minutes or 1/2 hour, it goes into defrost every time...
Any help would be SO much appreciated...

Does it work ok on the vehicle drive ,if so you can presume the gas charge is ok are there any alarms ie red light on controller flashing?

As cad says does it work on engine ok if it does when on stby does condensor fan cut in and out depending on ambient and if ur running on electric u must keep condensor cover on if u feel electric motor is slow check voltsge to motor if ok pull of stby belt if spinning lot quicker then ur fault in motor or comp like cad says look for red flash on controller i would first check condensor fan very prone to failure ta charlie
