A good Friend and learned member of our Industry has just asked a question.
To which I felt some of our older guys may be able to help?

Early Cold Store Insulation was a form of Cork Layers clad in a Asbestos Board.
Which Had a Grey and Black stippled Finish.
What was that Board / Finish called?

It used to be a really common Finish.
Thanks Guys!
Grizzly.

I think it was called glazed asbestos, could be wrong, memory is not what it was.
Maybe working too close to old cold store walls!!!!

Thanks BG.
I think there is a trade name for it?
Hopefully some others haven't stood as close to the walls as you and I?

Found this,

I have seen them still being used reasonably recently!

I seem to remember it being known as stippleglaze. That might have been a trade name though.

Thank you Friend!

But thanks all the same.
