Hello guys, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong part of the forum. I'm a 22 year old lad who's recently got into the royal engineers as an electrician, I've always been torn between electrician and HVAC as a career and still have the desire to duel trade when I leave, I was hoping there was someone who could send me in the right direction in to what quals to attain to help me reach this, I feel the earlier I start the better, thanks guys.

In Aussie, if one were to do electrical trade, one would be eligible for partial credit when undertaking fridge / air con trade (afaik, not so if fridge first)

.

Enjoy what you are doing and concentrate on the electrical.
Get some formal qualifications in electrical because they will stand
you in good stead with fridge. Electrical forms a hugh part of the
refrigeration trade and good sparkies tend to make good fridgies.

When you have time look to do a basic refrigeration course and
pipework & brazing qualifications. Get your F-gas quals and then look
to get some experience.

The Royal Engineers do fridge work and they do train guys to be fridgies,
get in with the instructors and show an interest in what they do and try and
get on the fridge training courses.
