Hi Guys.
Most of my colleagues who have their own IOS or Android phones.
Use the excellent comparator apps from either Danfoss or Bitzer etc.
Neither of which as far as I can make out are available for the above windows 8.1 based phone.
Does anyone know of any apps that are?
Free ones would be preferred, but purchased may still be an option!
Thanks Grizzly

Sorry Grizzly but you need to change your phone.

Surely you know that Microsoft is evil and should be avoided at all costs.

Mind you, Google and Apple are going the same way. ;)

ERR! Someone forgot to tell my Employers "We" the great unwashed are all being issued with Nokia Lumia Phones!
Which as Danfoss explained earlier today has a Market share of 2.8% whereas Android is 58% and IOS is 32%!
Says it all really doesn't It.
Which is a shame because their apps are excellent!

I guess its back to the old Plastic slide rule.

Is it worthwhile getting a cheap from one of the pawn shops and using that on your home WiFi to download stuff, no sim required.

I feel your pain. As a late arrival to the smartphone brigade (brother night me a Lumia last year as a birthday present) I've searched high and low and have only found a Mitsubishi Electric app - ME Engineer.
Otherwise you are on your own and wouldn't surprise me if windows fades out the market altogether. You might say is curtains for them ha ha.

Funnily enough I bought an android mobile last Friday, sold it again on Saturday because the android version was too old for Daikin and Fujitsu and couldn't be updated. Have to up the budget. It made me appreciate the windows style though. Found it easier to navigate and the way you can type by swiping across the keyboard is a perk I'd find hard to live without. Got a comparator and laptop, not let me down yet!

Cheers,
Andy.

Sent from my Windows mobile. :-)

Thanks for your input Guys, appreciated!
Thanks for the detailed explanation Andy.

The Irony is I quite like the lumia as I am familiar with Windows.

Hi Grizzly.
I was a user of Nokia for decades, but then phone provider gave a me an IPhone on same plan.
Brilliant, phone, IPad and computer all connected , do not ask me how. But it all works.
So get your tight fisted employer to get you an IPhone, it is an essential /additional tool these days in our trade.

I know my friend, but my issues are of no consequence to the bigger picture!
If you get my drift!
Decisions are made by people so far removed from the coal face nowadays that I or others have little or no influence.
Its all about cost!
Thanks Grizzly
