Fujitsu General Wall Unit - no display

Just had a new Fujitsu General wall unit a/c installed. Works fine but the indoor unit display panel doesn't light up. How to fix? See no reference to this in either installation or user manuals.

The interior panel on the lead which is connected via a din plug.

If not the panel erhaps could be faulty.
