Carlo Gavazzi soft starts fitted to Delonghi Heat Pumps

Hiya.
This year we have fitted quite a few soft starts.
faults ranging from tripping the mcb on start, nearly going on fire, burning out and capacitor inside leaking fluid.
Common starter is fitted throughout the Delonghi range

Any one else had problems?
Any better ones to get?

Only comment I can make is that I note that Danfoss have stopped using these and install the Emerson CSS units instead as replacements.

Yes, had similar experience on a York packaged unit. Burned out and popped:confused:
