Hi Guys,

Has anybody had any experience with the Bluon Tdx drop in replacement for R22?
A friend of mine told me this would be the next big thing in the refrigerant market, which sparked my interest.
I have looked through their website and they claim some performance increase with the new refrigerant and also big savings in running costs. Also considering the phase out of R22, this would be the ideal solution.
But when things look to good to be true they usually are.
There is very little technical information given to substantiate the claims and the only other info I could find on the net is a couple of technical reviews questioning the content of the patent application and one review from a guy who used it as a drop in for R22 and had 4 of 8 compressors failing within 3 months(although there is no detailed info given here either).
Any feedback from anybody who used it or was part of one of the test cases would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Every once in awhile, some company comes with the best refrigerant ever made etc. etc.

So far I've got a few snake oil cans in my workshop.
I am still optimistic but so was VW......

If it doesn't have the R before it, it means that the refrigerant was not approve by ASHRAE yet.

Lets hope that someone will crack it one day.
