Hello, I have a small fridge and I need 1,5 kW of refrigeration power when it's temperature is -40°C. What kind of gas would you use?

I tried with R404A, but the temperature can't reach -40°C.

Any idea?

Thank you!

first you need a compressor that can reach -40, I would suggest R-507 or R-410A.

A compressor with 1.5 KW capacity at -45C evaporating temp.

Check Bitzer and Copeland semi hermetic two stages low temp.

I think 1.5 kW capacity at -47C evaporating temperature... and it's may be two stage semihermetic compressor on R507/404

You building a complete circuit or salvaging a small fridge or? 2-stage compounded will get you there and can be built up from pretty much stock pieces. Autocascade is the easiest overall arrangement but you would be buying a complete lab fridge.....Not something you want to design as a One-off.
