So I've landed a better paid job and my current employer couldn't match the offer and is quite hurt I'm leaving and is pretending to have not kept any of my certificates! I can't start my new job without my 2079 f-gas and the place I did it (techtrain doncaster) has gone into administration. I payed 45.00 to city guilds (finders fee) and they said they can't find it either so I'm pretty screwed unless anyone on has any ideas
Thank you

Contact some of the sites you've worked on, we generally have to provide a copy of certs each year, they probably have them on file somewhere. I'd be more worried that city and guilds don't have a record of it?

I may have completely the wrong end of the stick.
But if your "boss" is registered with Refcom?
Surely They have had your certs supplied?
Therefore could your new employer request copies from them?
Just a thought!
Good luck anyways,

Think i'd be tempted to lose his van somewhere until he found my certs.

.

If you did your 2079 then City & Guilds will have your details.

Did you ever see the certificate or did your employer keep it?

When you did the course with Techtrain they would have given you
an individual registration number from City & guilds, do you have
any information from Techtrain?

If you have never seen the certificate and if City & Guilds can't find
it then there is only one reason why, i could think of. The only reason
I could imagine is they have your details wrong, I know of countless
occasions where the candidate details were wrong and then needed
changing.

Your date of birth, your full name, middle names or even sex, any one
of those or a combination of all could be the reason why the cert can't be found.

If all else fails just do the assessment again, it would only take half / full day and
for a couple of hundred quid you would have your own certificate.

Rob
