Dear all,

In a New installed Freezer room (-22deg C) double hinged door provided.

Now ice is forming in the door frame. (some misalignment in the door - It is not possible to solve the misalignment)

Is it okay to resolve the issue with single leaf sliding door. (Clear opening is 1.75 x 2m)

Expecting your suggestion to solve the issue with existing door. (photo enclosed)1385413855

thank you...

Problem: Doors misaligned, ice forming outside

Solution: align doors properly to prevent ice from forming.

apart from properly aligning the doors, you would have to have the gap measured and have custom rubber seals made and installed to ensure that the door seals properly when it's closed.

maybe have a triangular wedge/shim made out of teflon that you could attach to the door frame that would seat against the gasket on the door without leaving any gaps.

I don't know anything about this, other than knowing that the walls and doors should be properly installed to make an airtight seal when they are closed

he door frame should have heaters installed to stop ice formation, alternatively adjust hinges for for tighter seal.
