Hi . I have too install a new A/C system and between the outdoor unit and the building it's a side walk and I have to go with the piping (7/8 inch) underground for 6 feet .`
My question is if I have too put a trap for the oil ? I am 95% sure that I have too , but it's better to have others opinion too .
Thanks

You don't need to put trap. Speed and density of refrigerant is enough to return oil, and inverters have function to recover oil in prolonged operation on low revolutions.

Check the manufacturers installation manual. On some units you have trap every 10m if the outdoor unit is below the indoor as your diagram shows.

Hi. I got a AHAM-NARDA refrigerant recovery certificate in USA from 2006. Does anyone know if that is recognized her in the UK? THANKS

Did you get your f-gas btw?

Always follow the installation manual, always.

As you haven't said what kit you are installing, nobody will be able to give you the "right" advice but the install manual that comes with the kit will always be right.

Hi. Thanks for answers. The outdoor unit it is a Daikin rzq250. In the installation manual says install trap at each difference in height of 10 m. I have only 3 m in height difference

Then you do not need an oil trap
