Hi All, Long time no hear,

Question, will there be any net gain to capacity of system by installing a subcooler in the main liquid line. With said subcooler fed from the system it is installed on. No external condensing unit running the subcooler, no two stage compressors etc. In this scenario it would be an existing standard recip rack system, connected too various rooms cabinets.

Cheers all.

If suction from sub cooler goes back into compressor suction then no gain.
Will have better quality refrigerant at TX valve, as no flash gas.
HAs to go in Eco port on screw or interstage on two stage.

Over sizing condenser for low SDT and using and LPA pump will get some efficiency gain with sub cooled liquid at evaps
