Hi
from hot zone in temperature and wars
temperatur these days reached 47 c and may exceed it
my question about ac split unit
non inverter
is there any problem if you replace the reciprocating compressor to rotary
or vice versa
whatr are the advantages and disdvantages

I think rotary compressors work work better in heating mode than reciprocating ones (more heat goes into the room), plus they are quieter, but i don't know of any problems with swapping from one type to the other so long as the duty is similar and refrigerant type similar.

.

I agree with the Monkey, there will be no operational problems
as long as the two are the same duty, but I don't know of many
AC systems that use reciprocating comps because of the noise issues
of the gas pulsing through the system.

Most AC's are either rotor or scroll in design.

the cause behind replacing reciprocating compressor( which is more powerful than rotary) to rotarty
is unstable supplied ac voltaage in iraq
the supplied voltage must be 220 -240
but in most area the supllied voltage is 190-180 or lower
so recprocating compressor can withstand the decrease in voltage to 195 volt
while rotary can handle to 182 volt

I would not say so! But some manufacturers have compressor models which can start with greater voltage drop than others.
Such example is Fujitsu General which is made in India. They are capable to start with greater voltage drop than Fujitsu without "General" in its name!
Therefore, I suggest you to find some India made compressors, since they are more suitable for greater voltage drop at starting.
