Hi All

Carrier gx30358
Comp 06na2300
Siemens soft start sikostart 3rw33

Have been looking at this chiller for a while had to replace the gas discharge sensor and recharge it that has cured them problems.
Whent to start it up but the big ehhhhhhhhh :mad:
Now a new fault as the compressor goes too start it tries just hums.
Then brings up 5=11 Compressor a1 Loch Rotor.
looking through the manuals its saying the scpm detects high load so i clamped best as i could 512 Amps very short inrush then into fault.
Im guessing the compressor may have have mechanical fault and siezed.
But i want to be really sure as its exspensive and ive just done all this work and know the compressor doesnt work.
Does the soft start measure the inrush or the carrier board.
And is this clearly signs of a seized screw compressor is there anything else i can do or am i missing the obvious or just give up lol.
If anyone who is a expert on these would be much appreciated i have a few questions as well would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards Ian

Hi mate the easiest thing to do is take off the big cover plate on the compressor and spin the gear wheels by hand, you need a e16 socket and 2 stud bars m12 x 50 mm long, and an oring from carrier and some oring grease

Hi you'll have gas in it, some 30gx chillers have a butterfly valve under the compressor suction, which you can shut off and the oil line valve, and the discharge valve
