Hi all,
Is it now an fgas requirement to use proprietary flare adapters?? Got a bit of a debate at work as to the new fgas requirements. Can anyone with a recent C and G fgas clear this up for us?
Cheers
Craig.

Can you elaborate?
What's a flare adaptor?

The braze on pre made flares, they look machined from solid metal.

I would have thought if it was a regulation then equipment manufacturers would supply flare adaptors to be used instead of traditional flares? Personally I prefer flare adaptors, although even these can leak if your not careful when fitting the copper flare gasket. Ideally though everything should be soldered connections - no more flaring!

Just to clear this one up, the adaptors are reccomended as good practice, but not a statutory requirement. Had s look at a CITB fgas course book.
