LG Air con unit issues....

Hi there

I need some help here please.

I have a LG Air con unit (Model LG S12AHP / AS-H1264DMO) that was working fine. But now it keeps on blowing the main fuse on the fuse box.

I have tested the wires from the fuse box to the Air con unit and they seem fine.

There are no breaks in wires at all.

Upon testing everytime i switch on the unit the fuse blows straight away.

Then i disconnect the compressor and switched on the AC unit.

The indoor unit worked fine blowing normal temp air. The outside box cooling fan was working too....

So, would i be right in saying that the compressor has failed and i need to replace it or could it be anything else that i have over looked...??

By the way - tha capacitor looks ok - no signs of damage etc. When i tested it the capacitor it gave me the correct readings.

Any help would be much apprciated.

Have you carried out an insulation test on the compressor?
