Hi can anyone help with the service manual and any suggestions for this please.

When i press and hold the two top buttons i get a horizontal dash across the bottom of the right hand display but i have no error codes.

Worst bit of all it's my own fridge freezer!

Regards
Andy

Hi Andy.
I am not sure just a owners manual will help. However it is the only type I can find so far.
Follow the link if needed?

I have the same and I have taken the unit to bits. I think its the defrost issue that comes up on the forum many times.

I have bought 2 spares from Amazon for it http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001DPO2RS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A6769Y1HDOYF9

and this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/SAMSUNG-Fridge-Freezer-Temperature-Da3200006w/dp/B001DPPR5O/ref=pd_bxgy_kh_img_y

The unit was all iced up.

BUT I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE SINISTER

The black tape or covering around thw wires has melted to the point of dripping down over the element below. I had heard these units had a recall because they set on fire, I guess this is the case here!

Anyone heard of the issue with the fire? Here is a picture of it melted https://www.dropbox.com/s/kdjbbqthc1i123h/20150426_181020.jpg?dl=0
