Hi guys, first time poster here. I am trying to get a good explanation of what use ejectors have in a refrigeration cycle, and what sort of equations govern them. If someone could point me to a link where I could find this, or explain it to me, I would be most grateful.

do you mean unloaders (solonoids on the compressor)?

Majjonier carbo coolers used to use them on critical charge plants.
It's used to circulate the refrigerant using a surge drum
High pressure liquid/gas from liquid receiver enters in a bottom leg off surge drum assisting circulation of refrigerant through baudelot type chiller.
Also can be used for oil return on flooded ***** chiller vessels, to skim oil back using high pressure gas to enter ejector returning oil rich mixture back to compressor suction.
Apart from that, I know very little

Hi jditt
Check out this link.

Ranger I think you may be referring to the venturi injector found on Monjonier ultracoolers, they used high pressure liquid to help drag the chilled refrigerant into the barrels of the ultracooler.
Probably the same design used on Baudelot water chillers.
