Hi
The compressor getting hot, and the condenser temperatures sound OK , and the hot spots near the door is just to prevent frost around the door . These FF's seem to have a very bad reputation for reliability or lack of it, especially this wire from the door hinge. Never worked on one of these units so it may be worth speaking to Hotpoint direct as this block could be a sensor and defrost heater circuit.
