here the temperature reached -2 C
in heating mode
normally unit go in defrost to melt ice on the outdoor unit
what i know is
when the thermistor in outdoor unit senses low temp its call for defrost
what must happen
just indoor fan and outdoor fan turn off and then 4 way valves revesre to cooling mode while compressor keeps work
until ice melt then 4 way valve energized to heating while compressor keeps work
in my case
what happen here
when ice severely collected on the outdoor unit
the compressor off
after many seconds 4 way valve reverse cycle in to cooling mode
then compressor then run
after ice melted compressor go off then after seconds 4 way valve revers to heating mode
now why compressor go off for a while
instead of continuous work as in other split ac unit
