Pretty basic query. Seen in a manual to get into test mode on the Advance controller that you jump A & B wires on the download plug. Doesn't seem to go into test mode for me.
Are there any alternatives?

the unit has to be 'off' when you put the jumper on, then you turn it on and it says 'remove jumper' which you do, and your there.
