View Full Version : How old?

Webram became a member of this site in Jan 2001, assuming
he was the first member (being how its his site) The oldest
post on the site must go back to 2001 also.

What is it and what was the subject?

I joined in about 2006 (under a different user name) and have
been an active member since then.

Just being curious and all that, it's just with spammers who hijack
a thread with "I agree" or "Your advice is greatly received" I wondered
what is the oldest thread on here?

Looking at your start date Brian you were right there at the beginning.

All those years ago, all those conversations with young whipper snappers
biting at your heels.

;)

.Oh it was great fun, sitting there working with a 56kb modem we prayed that there weren't too many graphics.

Discussions could be quite extended but interesting.

I remember a lot of the "UK Rec forums" and a lot of sites were started off the back of them.

Oh and the joys of dial up modems :D

Geez Frank there's been 2157 views on my page.

Some of the current viewers are regular posting members. Are they checking up on me? Should I be getting a complex or maybe just a cold beer?

Sort of surprised with "Monkey's" comment. "Install" asked a similar question earlier this year and it slid off the front page within a day or so.

Rob W and Brian UK.....If you thought 56 K dial up was pathetic...28.8 K was standard issue for OZ regional areas back in the dark ages. Only privileged City folk had 56K. :D
