I have system with R410A & it must work in winter ambient conditions. A ordered Sporlan LAC-10-295 and in comes with a remote bulb. So i have no idea where to put the bulb, because the datasheet says, that care should be taken but... no information on bulb location: which pipe? I suggest liquid return from the condencer, but have no explanation for myself.

Does anybody know or have experience with it?

Meanwhile i got reply from Sporlan:

The bulb should be placed in location that will provide a constant ambient temperature of about 80F. These are air charged valves. They do not rely on the bulb to sense any temperatures for operation. See the first paragraph on page 35 of the R410 catalog.

So the case is closed :)

Thanks for sharing!

The page 35 says:
Special consideration needs to be taken when utilizing valves with
remote bulbs. Because of the air charge, these models are affected
by ambient temperatures at the remote bulb. (Although the remote
bulb is affected by ambient temperature, it is strictly a pressure
regulating valve and not a temperature control device.) Therefore, it
is necessary to locate the remote bulb in as nearly constant ambient
as possible to maintain a constant pressure setting. For example, the
remote bulb located in the return air can be used. Since these models
are set in 80F (26.7C) ambient, any appreciable variation from this
temperature will cause the pressure setting to vary. The actual pres-
sure setting change is 1 psi (0.069 bar) for every 7F (3.9C) increase
or decrease in the ambient temperature.
