I am the admin of that one and have a friend or 2 on it but really and truthfully it seems like these things are dying off because noone much nowadays will ever want to get on one, they always say i wanna be on when others are on and chat live, they never seem to want to take the time to carry on an extended conversation with people that might not be in their own time zone or anything awesome like that

so tell me folks are message boards dying off? have we gotten so in need of instant now that the internet, the very thing that was meant to bring us together as a planet, will end up pushing us apart and further dividing us by when we are online and not?

Well, I think the lack of answers kind of sums it all up.

"What's a Message Board"?
The only Forum I am on is this one, which is a complimentary tool.
For what I do for a living and allows me contribute assistance to like minded people.
I "Pop on and off" as life permits but like others I suspect, I am not cruising the posts waiting to answer.
My 2 drunk brothers in law phoned me the other weekend, when our wives were away on a girls weekend.
Asking if I was on Skype? I replied that I was not on Skype and as a matter of fact I am not even on Facebook!
With both working in IT they were somewhat surprised by this!
It seems to me that how deep we get involved is dependant upon time constraints as much as anything else.
