need some help about DIRcalc

i have a little problem when using DIRcalc software , so can someone help me about the "line multiplier" , what does it mean.

... open your Dircalc program and then put your cursor over Line multiplier number ... now is 1,00 ...when number background became yellow click the right mouse button ... then you can read explanation ...
